What does the price include?
The price quoted is for the apartment for the length of your holiday for up to 4 guests. Included in the price is:
- Bath and Hand Towels
- Cleaning prior to and after your stay
- For stays of over a week a mid clean is also included
- Bed Linen for all occupied beds
- Electricity and Water
Are there any extra costs?
There are no hidden extra costs however you can pre book the following:
- Welcome Pack (Typical contents include Bread, butter, milk, water, tea, coffee, jam) €15 payable on arrival
- Transfer to and from the airport for up to 4 guests €40 each way payable locally
How can I pay for my holiday?
The following payment methods are accepted:
- Sterling Cheque
- Sterling Bank Transfer
- Euro Bank Transfer
- Any currency via Paypal
A £60 deposit secures your booking and the remainder is due 6 weeks before your holiday.
Please note that I have no means of accepting payment on arrival.
Arriving at the apartment
How do I get to the apartment?
You can hire a car and pick it up at the airport, catch a bus at the airport to Puerto del Rosario and then change to the Corralejo bus or a private transfer can be pre-booked. Alternatively taxis are available at the airport.
Directions for a number of transport options, including driving, bus numbers and stops, will be provided before you depart.
How do I get the keys?
You will be met at the complex by Keith and/or Jayne Sherlock from Stylish Homes Fuerte, who look after the apartment. They will take you to the apartment show you round and leave you with the keys.
You will be given a contact number for Keith and Jayne before you depart, if possible can you call them before you leave the airport and they will be waiting for you at the complex.
When can I enter the apartment?
The apartment will be available to you from 2pm on your arrival day. This is dependent on other bookings and wherever possible you will be able to enter the apartment and start your holiday straight away. I will confirm this before you depart for your holiday.
Leaving the apartment
When should I vacate the apartment?
You should vacate the apartment by 10am on your last day. Keith and Jayne will make arrangements with you to collect the keys. Again depending on other bookings there will be some flexibility to this, however I cannot offer any guarantees.
When will I receive my Security Deposit back?
This will be returned to you within 14 days of your leaving the apartment. This is dependent upon a satisfactory report from Stylish Homes. It will be repaid using the same method you used.
How can I leave feedback on my holiday?
You can leave feedback in the Guest Book in the apartment and/or by emailing me upon your return.
All feedback and practical suggestions will be taken seriously and used to make future improvements to the apartment. For example following feedback a filter coffee jug and a sandwich toaster have been added.
There is an information folder in the apartment with blank pages that you may use to leave feedback and suggestions for other guests such as bars and restaurants you have enjoyed.
The Apartment/Complex
Can I smoke in the apartment?
The apartment is strictly non smoking. Community rules also state you should not smoke in communal areas such as around the pool and gym.
Can I bring my pets?
No, under the rules of the community no pets are allowed within the complex. Sometimes stray cats may enter the complex please do not feed them and under no circumstances are they to enter the apartment.
Do you have any provisions for babies?
I have limited storage space so do not have a high chair, baby bath etc available. I can however hire a travel cot for your baby at a price of €20 per week (please ask at the time of booking)
What is there to do on the complex?
There is a large swimming pool and tennis courts for you to use. There is also an exercise room which you are free to use,you will need to get the key from the sales office during their opening hours.
Is there a telephone?
There is no phone in the apartment however in the entrance to the complex there is a payphone which charges reasonable rates.
Is there wifi?
A wifi hotspot has been installed and is accessible in the garden areas around the gym. The log on details will be sent to you and are in the information folder in the apartment.
Corralejo
Where is the nearest beach?
The nearest beach is 10 minutes walk away around the rear of the 5 star Bahia Royal Hotel. However this is a small rocky beach, the larger beaches can be found towards the town where you can enjoy Waikiki beach or the smaller Town Beach. Or if you turn right out of the entrance to the complex and walk for approximately 10 minutes you will find miles of golden sand on the Las Dunas National Park, the most popular beach in the dunes can be reached by bus just ask for the two Riu Hotels, you will have seen these hotels standing alone in the dunes on your way into Corralejo. Walk down the road between them and be amazed by the view that will greet you at the end of the road.
If you decide to hire a car there are plenty of secluded beaches all over the island just waiting for you to discover them.
Where is the nearest supermarket? The best nearest supermarket is the Hyperdino at the El Campanario shopping centre it is well stocked with fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, milk, bottled water and daily newspapers. You can also try local specialities from the cheese and meat counter. The prices are very reasonable here, please note the Hyperdinos on the high street are classed as "Express" and charge higher prices.
Where is the nearest bar/restaurant?
The nearest bar is Flintstones which can be found next door to the Verdemar supermarket. Also nearby is Pura Vida one road away which also offers a range of entertainment and food. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from all within a 30 minute walk.
Where is the nearest Bus Stop?
3 minutes walk away just before you reach the Verdemar Supermarket, this will take you to the beaches at the two hotels and then on to Puerto del Rosario.
The bus station is located at the rear of Corralejo, if you walk down the main avendia to the Shell garage and turn left up the hill you will see the bus station on the right as you reach the top. The bus from here will take you to El Cotillo.
What is there to do in Corralejo?
As well as the beaches there are plenty of other things for you to enjoy in Corralejo during your stay. These include:
- Shopping at the El Campanario Shopping centre
- Spend a day at the Baku Water Park
- Enjoy Mini golf at Baku, on the main Avendia by the petrol station or above the bars in the Plaza. Why not turn your holiday into a mini golf tournament?
- The twice weekly market at Baku
- The Sunday Canarian market at El Campanario
- Watersports at the beaches and harbour
- Fishing trips
- Day trips to Lanzarote
- Boat trips to Los Lobos
- Enjoying people watching from any of the bars and restaurants
