We're sorry, there is no information available at this time

Added to this flying time from the UK is only four hours.  There is now a good range of flights available from Monarch, Easyjet, Ryanair, Thomsons and Thomas Cook.

The island has had a reputation for being quiter than its neighbours but there really is something for everyone whatever your tastes whether it's watersports, fishing, people watching, relaxing on the beach or taking the free bus to Oasis Park in the south of the island.

Fishing off the old jetty

A 30 minute drive from the airport, Corralejo is the largest resort on the island, once a sleepy fishing village it is now a vibrant lively resort but without the clubs and discos of the other Canary Islands. It offers something for all ages and tastes.

Corralejo Old Town and Harbour

During the daytime why not walk down to the harbour where you can take a boat trip to the small island of Los Lobos or take the ferry over to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote?  If you prefer to stay on dry land there are some great bars and restaurants to sit and watch the world go by.

The resort is surrounded by beautiful golden beaches made from sand blown in from the Sahara.  Watersports are very popular and you will be able to surf, snorkel, dive, windsurf and kite surf from many of the beaches and there are plenty of schools around should you need a lesson.

The surf is so good each July sees the World Surfing Championships take place in Sotavento.  If you visit in November be sure to take in the Kite Fiesta which takes place on the sand dunes not far from Corralejo.

Corralejo Harbour Looking Out Towards Lanzarote

Las Dunas is only a few minutes stroll from the El Campanario shopping centre.  Built to look like a traditional village you will find markets, clothes shops, local artwork and a good priced supermarket here.  There is regular entertainment of an evening.

For shopaholics there is also the Las Palmeras centre on the main road which has a large Zara and other well priced clothes stores.

On the other side of the traffic island behind the Civil Guard you will find the newly opened Botanical Gardens.  Climb the "mountain" for views over Los Lobos and the crater of La Arena.  There is a visitors centre, childrens playgound and picnic tables.

Only 10 minutes walk from the complex is the Baku Waterpark (seasonal opening), you will also find a market here on a Monday and Friday morning and a mini golf course.

BAKU Waterpark

Corralejo now has a  9 hole golf course, this is near to the Oasis Tamarindo complex (taxi or car recomended as its a long walk)

If you want to venture out of Corralejo there are numerous car hire companies throughout the resort.  The bus service is good and very cheap, the bus to Puerto Del Rosario runs every half hour from a stop 3 minutes from the complex and costs approx €3 each way.  I can recommend a visit to Las Rotundas where you will find plenty of shops including C&A (with a conveniently located cafe bar outside for the men!)

Alternatively you can take the hourly bus to the lagoons of El Cotillo (from the bus station) and enjoy a change of scene for a day
